when for this movie with brenda,yunhan a.k.a meow meow* and khai.
the plot goes => Tangshan Earthquake in 1976, Li Ni returns home only to find out that her 7-year-old twins are buried under the debris. She's left with a dilemma on deciding whom she chooses to save, her son, Fonda or her daughter, Fan Teng. She chooses to save her son in the end without knowing that Fan Teng overheard the decision being made. Miraculously, she manages to survive but suffers from the painful memory of her mother's decision. Later, a young couple adopts her but she remains traumatised by this childhood experience.
it's a very sad story line. saddening to see what happen in an earthquake.and my emotion was greatly affected by this movie as i also have a good fren that went back to china in 2002 but from there we still keep in contact through letters and phone calls.but then, 2008 something bad that we would nvr want it to happen,an earthquake.
sichuan earthquake that measure up to magnitude 8. it's was the deadliest earthquake to hit China since the 1976 Tangshan earthquake, which had killed at least 240,000 people.(*but what to do?,it's an act of god according to the life cycle*) enough of info?ya.so from then on i didn't manage to contact the dear friend of mine which both of our family were once so closely bonded tgt.untill now,although i've yet to track them down.i still hope and pray that there are safe.and so,i believe i would find them one fine day.
this movie not only remind my of my fren and also help mi re-organise my thought.
Look.singapore is such a safe country and yet so many of us take things for granted.how sad.?
all of u guys out there are encourage to watch this move - After Shock
becos my rating for this movie is 5/5!
but those that are very emotional. word of caution: pls bring along packets of tissue. hahas.becos i used up 2 packet of tissue unknowingly! and do notice when the movie come to an end,by the time u walk out of the theater,take a look around!cos,alot of the others eyes and red and swollen too!:)
all to all i hope ur will enjoy the movie too.
